Please treat this as a post from a user with no permissions and ignore it if you wish, I simply had some thoughts on my mind I recently wanted to talk about With that out of the way, hi, I am [insert not-moderator user], and I'd like to point out something some modders do I find a bit irritating. Usually mods are about MB, which is very easy to download on slow or limited connections. As I have been stuck in "moving hell" basically staying at relatives' places for like two years because COVID goes brr right as my family tried to move somewhere I've been feeling the sentiments of people who struggle with slow connections as for the first time in a while, I have had to experience this.
The problem is screenshots in mod downloads. They are already right on the mod page, so why include them in the main archive? At best they should be an alternate download source. This makes it hard to download some mods because screenshots, especially that taken with a proper capture card and not the relatively low-quality Switch screenshot feature, are large.
Some modders add the screenshots from their mod page to downloads, causing the download to bloat to a bigger size than it needs to be.
Some mods I even end up downloading 40MB of screenshots that I don't want and it takes several more minutes that I didn't need to spend waiting for the download to finish. In my opinion, they don't go there. I'll stress one more time, please don't treat this like a new rule.
This is just my thoughts as a single individual, and it is something the staff currently do not believe is a required change for mods going forward. This will return you to the mod's page.
